Epic Mickey

Some fan-art for the upcoming Epic Mickey. I wasn't too interested in the game and was never a big Mickey fan but after seeing a developer video where Warren Spector was talking about the world he's made I fell in love. The guy sounded so enthusiastic, so in love, and so full of magic that I was since then drawn to the game and am compelled to play it.

Games these days, in my view, lack a lot of magic games of latter consoles provided. It's all about bullets, violence and action now. I love adventure and Epic Mickey is all about that.

This art is full of flaws but it'll do for now. Might do some more after the game is released.

Completed in about 2 hours, hand drawing of Mickey scanned into the comp and coloured then desaturated and Photoshopped for effect.

Sidenote: I was going to have silhouette of characters from the game appear in the paint-stream but thought it was too distracting from the minimalist nature of the drawing.
